St. Rita
Rita lived a life of mortification and penance.
She used to pray,
“Let me my dear Jesus share in your sufferings,
At least one of your thorns.”
And then one day she received a wound in her head;
A thorn like Jesus had when He was crowned with thorns.
What do we ask of Jesus?
