7. Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
Only those who have ascended the first six rungs of the Beatitudes can become a Peacemaker.
If we want Peace then we must be Poor in spirit, Mourn the sufferings of others; Be Meek and Humble of Heart;
Hunger and Thirst for Justice; Give Mercy to others instead of Judgement and condemantion, and be Pure of Heart free from all Anger, Prejudice and Pride.
Then we will be True Children of God who know the Peace that only Christ can give.
8. Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness; blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you falsely because of Me, rejoice and be glad for your reward in heaven will be great.
Christians tends to be tolerated to the extent that they acclimate themselves to the society in which they live.
A Faith that is never questioned or ridiculed is not really Faith.
Real Faith will always find itself nailed to the cross with Christ
But remembered in Paradise where their reward will be great!
