Our Jewish Heritage
Pope Pius IX declared that we are all Spiritual Semites.
Because the God Israel chose their ancestors
And led them out of slavery in Egypt to the Promised Land.
And raised up David to be their king.
And from his descendants God brought to Israel a Savior, Jesus Christ.
So it is from the Jews that we have received our Savior,
And to them we owe a Eternal debt of gratitude.
