An epiphany is a revelation.
A more simple explanation of an Epiphany is when the Light Bulb goes off in your head.
And you say, “Now I get it!”
When you finally understand something.
There are ordinary Epiphnaies such as I had in Geometry class in high school.
I just couldn’t understand how to do Proofs.
And then one day it suddenly hit me.
And they became the easiest thing in the world to do.
And then there are life changing Epiphanies.
In college I had an Epiphany to be a priest.
For three years I could not decide what to do;
Doubts filled my mind.
And then one day as I knelt before the Blessed Sacrament
I had an Epiphany;
Every question and every doubt suddenly disappeared.
I was supposed to be a priest.
St. Francis had an Epiphany when he knelt in front of the crucifix
And it spoke to him.
The Star in the sky was the Light Bulb that went off for the Wise Men.
They realized that there was someone Wiser than them
Being Kings, they realized there was only One King;
And so they went off in search of the One.
But before an Epiphany can happen,
One must have the Desire!
The Desire to See;
The Desire to Understand.
The Desire to see and to understand prepares one for the Epiphany.
Because when the Epiphany comes,
Everything changes!
God only reveals Himself to those who Desire to see Him.
To those who Desire Him above all else.
How much do you Desire to see God?
As much as you Desire to see God
Is how great of an Epiphany of God you will have.
If you Desire only to See and Know God just a little.
Then your Epiphany will be like a night light
Revealing only a little.
But if you desire to See and Know God with all you heart
And are willing to do whatever and go wherever you have to.
Then your Epiphany will be Like a Star
Revealing the Way!
