The salesman
Temptation is a salesman
who knocks on your door wanting to sell you something
You know him and actually you have bought things from him before;
So he keeps coming back!
He always guarantees what he sells you,
Happiness, fulfillment and good times!
So you are interested.
But after you buy it;
You realize that you were sold a bill of goods.
But it is too late, there are no returns.
And his guarantee was worthless.
A little while later temptation knocks on your door again.
You recognize him and know what he is selling
and remember the lies he told you;
he tells you THIS time it will be different.
He guarantees you will be happy.
And Like all temptations You like what you see and hear
So you open the door and let him in once again;
And once you have bought it
Temptation says good by and walks away.
And then you open what you bought;
And once again it is not what you expected.
It does not bring you happiness or fulfillment or the pleasure temptation promised.
Rather it Leaves you empty and unhappy that once again you’ve been taken.
And then one day, temptation again knocks on your door
And he tells you there is another guy coming down the street.
Don’t buy from Him.
All He is offering are crosses,
You won’t want one.
So temptation sells you more sweet things.
And Once again you buy some more.
And after you open them up, all you find is rotten apples.
And then the other Man comes and tries to sell you a cross.
You remember what temptation told you
But then you remember all of the lies and false promise that temptation told you
So you decide to buy a cross from the Man.
And when you open it up what you find is Eternal Life;
And you could never ever be happier!
