Second Sunday of Advent

The Second Coming Mt. 3:1-12

When the Son of God came the first time

It was a Day of Celebration

For a Child was born.

But when He comes the second time;

It will be a Day of Judgment:

For the King is returning.

He will not care what we look like

For He will not judge by appearances.

He will not listen to hearsay or excuses

But will decide aright.

He will strike the ruthless with the rod of His mouth

And slay the wicked with the breath of His lips.

His winnowing fan will be in His hand;

And He will gather His wheat into the barn

And the chaff He will burn with unquenchable fire.

So John warns everyone to Repent!

Do not presume to escape the coming wrath.

Like the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Jesus will come with an ax

And cut down every tree that did not bear good fruit;

And throw it into the fire.

But for those who have born fruit

And repented

 It will be a day of rejoicing;

For the wolf will be a guest of the lamb.

The leopard will lie down with the kid.

The cow and the bear will be neighbors.

And the lion shall eat hay like the ox.

The baby will play by the corbra’s den;

And there will be no more harm or ruin

In all the earth.

There is no time to waste.

The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
