Tuesday 15th Week of Ordinary Time

Woe to you. Mt. 11:20-24

Tyre and Sidon were pagan towns filled with debauchery and hedonism.

While Capernaum was Jesus’ hometown after He left Nazareth.
It was there that he healed Peter’s mother in law
It was there that they brought Him,
All the sick, blind and lame and He healed them.
It was there He called Peter, James, John and Matthew.
It was there Jesus preached His Bread of Life discourse.

But after all that,
They still rejected Him.
They still did not believe in Him.

And so Jesus said it will go better on the Day of Judgment
For Sodom and Gomorrah than Capernaum.
For they had been given so much and did nothing with it.

We have have received just as much as Capernaum!
We have received the gift of Faith.
We have been given the Body and Blood of Christ.
How much have we been given!

For Those who have been given more will be expected.
How will it be for us at the Judgement?

God Bless
