27th Sunday of Ordinary Time

It belongs to God. Mt. 21:33-34

Look around, this all belongs to God.
God created everything we see.
And he placed it all in our hands to care for.
For 40; 60: 70 yrs.

We are caretakers,
Not owners!

Whatever we build;
Whatever we Sow;
Whatever we reap;
Whatever we have;

In the end It all came from God and belongs to God.
He has however placed it in our hands to care for it.

And ever since Adam and Eve
humanity has made a mess of the Garden God entrusted to it
We have ravaged it with war.
Stripped it of everything we could.
Leaving a polluted mess.

Remember when Lake Erie caught fire?
When water catches fire that is pretty bad.

And when we abuse it;
Use it for our own purposes
Or claim it as our own and do not share it;
Then we are like the worthless tenants in the Gospel.

And God is going to come back one day
To see what we have done with the place.

What have we done with our families; our church; our town?

To those who have been given great responsibility
Great things will be expected.
To those who have been given less,
Less will be expected.

Each one of us has been given something
Great or small
How have we taken care of it?
