Who is my neighbor? Lk. 10:25-37
In the story of the Good Samaritan
The Priest and the Levite had good reason to keep going when they saw the man in the ditch who had been beaten and robbed.
Maybe he was a Roman
Or a tax collector
Or a politician who opposed the Faith.
But the Samaritan saw none of that.
He saw only a man who was beaten and robbed and lying bloody in a ditch.
And he reached out to him.
There will always be excuses.
Some of them even valid.
But none of them that justifies ignoring our neighbor who is in need
