Wednesday 6th Week of Ordinary Time

 When Doves fly. Gen. 8:6-22

Noah sent a dove out of the ark to see if the flood had receded. 

The first time it came back because there was no place to rest. 

He sent the dove out a second time and this time it came back with an olive branch. 

And so Noah knew that the deadly waters were receding. 

A third time Noah sent the dove out and it never came back. 

So Noah knew that it was now safe to disembark. 

No matter , how high the flood waters may reach;

We must Keep sending out our prayers,

Sometimes we must send our prayers out like doves. 

Not just one time, or even two times but three times. 

Until they too return with the olive branch of Peace.
