All Souls Day

Eternal Rest Grant Unto Them O Lord,

And Let Perpetual light shine upon them.

We look upon Death as the end;

And well we should.

The end of our labors;

The end of the demands of life;

The end of alarm clocks and deadlines;

The end of suffering;

This is why we pray;

Eternal Rest grant unto them O Lord;

Give them rest from their labors and all that burdened them.

And then we pray,

Let Perpetual Light shine upon them;

Let them see the Light of Your Face O Lord;

Let them see the Light of Your Love;

Let them see Light of Your Peace;

While we continue to labor and walk in the darkness;

We pray that our loved ones may find rest;

And the Light of Eternal Life;

And the beauty of this prayer is that as

We are praying it for our loved ones,

We are also praying it for ourselves.
