Friday 5th Week of Easter

St. Bernardine of Siena

Saint Bernardino of Siena.PNG
St. Bernadine once said,
“Let Mary never be far from your lips and from your heart;
Following her you will never lose your way;
Praying to her you will never sink into despair;
Contemplating her you will never go wrong. “

This was the life of Jesus.
His mother was never far from His heart;
As a child He followed her everywhere;
He turned to her as He hung on His cross;
And from His cross told us to take her as our mother so that we would never go wrong.

In this month of May and in every month,
We should always keep close to Mary,
As Jesus did.

Thursday 5th Week of Easter

Love and the Commandments Jn. 15:9-11

MCC-31231 Mozes toont de wetstafelen (1).tif
Many people view the commandments as obligations.
Things they have to do.
Or as restrictions,
Things they cannot do.

But not Jesus.
Jesus kept His Father’s commandments out of Love.
It was the way Jesus showed He loved His Father,
By doing whatever His Father asked Him.

And keeping the commandments of Jesus,
Is the way we show our love for Jesus.

And when we keep His commandments we remain in His Love,
And then our Joy will be complete.

Wednesday 5th Week of Easter

Bearing Fruit. Jn. 15:1-18

At the wedding Feast of Cana,
Jesus turned water into wine.

And at the Last Supper He turned wine into His Blood.

So He knows a thing or two about wine.
And the joy of Life that it brings.

For He is the True Vine;
And Whoever remains in Him will bear much fruit.

And those who come here to His table,
Can drink of its fruit,
And have Abundant Life.

The Peace of Christ Jn. 14:27-31

Cristo paz de bom jesus do galho.jpg
Never trust the peace the world offers!
It is not real.
Every treaty has been broken.
No Revolution has fulfilled its promises.
No country has not had a civil war.

The world does not offer Peace;
Only competition and division.

The Peace that Jesus gives however is different.
It endures and weathers any storm that comes along.
And no sorrow or suffering or even death can steal it away.

Monday 5th Week of Easter

Keeping the Commandments Jn. 14:21-26

MCC-31231 Mozes toont de wetstafelen (1).tif
The Commandments are not a list of “do’s and don’t’s”

They are an expression of Love!
For whoever loves Jesus will keep His commandments. Jn. 14:21

Whenever we look at a crucifix there is no doubt that Jesus loves us.
By keeping His commandments, there is no doubt that we love Him in return.

5th Sunday of Easter

He Makes all things New. Rev. 21:5

Do you ever watch those shows on TV where people flip houses?
They take an old, dated and dilapidated house
And turn it into a new and amazing one.
One that the owners could never have imagined.

We have been flipping our churches the last few years.
Making them fresh and new.

But what about ourselves?
Are we pouring old wine into new wine skins?
Are we we bringing the same old, tired and routine attitudes
Into a a newly flipped church?

The newness of our churches,
Must reflect the newness of our spirit!

It is time to flip and resurrect our Faith!
Add a little pop to it!

Jesus is the ultimate flipper!
We must invite Him into our hearts
And ask for a do over;
Tear down those walls that separate us and give us an open concept; an open heart.
Paint a new coat of excitement on our hearts.
Freshen up that Faith!

On the Last Day Jesus will come with a New Heavens and a New Earth
And the Old and worn out heavens and earth,
They Will be flipped.

And we must flip our Hearts and Souls.
If we hope to enter into that New Heavens and Earth.
Because He is not going to let our old spirit come in and trash it all over again!

What needs to be flipped in our spiritual life?
What tired and routine attitudes need to be thrown out,
So that we can have a fresh look;
A new attitude
A New beginning.

On the Last Day Jesus is going to come on the clouds with all of His angels,
And He is going to flip,
The Heavens and the Earth.

He is going to take this weary, old bombed out, world
And wipe every tear from its eyes;
And there will be no more death or mourning;
Crying out or pain;

For the old world will be flipped,
And a new one will take its place.

Friday 4th week of Easter

Our Lady of Fatima

When Our Lady appeared in Fatima To three little children.

She asked them,
"Are you willing to offer yourselves to God as an act of Reparation for the conversion of sinners?

What is Reparation?

Reparation is healing for the soul.
It is when a person unites their suffering and crosses with those of Christ for the sake of another.

Every time we unite our sufferings and crosses with the sufferings and crosses of Jesus,
it is an act of Reparation, an act of love for sinners and those who are weak in Faith.

The three little children said Yes to Our Lady.
And They offered their sufferings and their crosses in union with The sufferings and cross of Jesus in Reparation for sinners and those who are weak in Faith.

This is why She appeared to three young children. .

Because If a child can do it,
Anyone can!
