Wednesday 19th week of Ordinary Time

Signs Ez. 9:1-7

There are signs everywhere telling us what to do, where to go and how much to pay. 

Street signs;

Advertising signs;

Dollar signs. 

In the book of the prophet Ezekiel

All those marked with the sign of the Tau, a T on their foreheads will be spared when the Lord returns in glory. 

For Christians, the Tau has become the sign of the cross. 

And all those marked with the sign of the cross,

Will be spared when the Lord returns in glory on the Last Day. 

This is why we make the “sign of the cross” whenever we pray. 

Marking ourselves , 

so that Jesus will see us one of His own when He returns.
