The fields are high Lk 10:1-9
Look out into the fields
All the corn; all the soybean
Now look out into the world
All The sick, the lonely, and the heavy burdened.
The overworked; the lost, the grieving;
The fields are high;
This is why Jesus asks us to pray for laborers to go out into the fields.
When Fr. Steve was born, his grandmother started a Novena to St. Joseph
That he would be a priest.
It took however a lot of prayers.
42 yrs worth of prayers.
As Fr. Steve had stopped going to church for awhile;
But his grandmother did not give up.
Just as the Harvest in the Fall;
Takes endless hours of hard work.
So the Harvest of souls
Takes endless hours of devoted prayer.
Without that prayer; there will be no laborers.
Without laborers there will be no harvest.
The harvest is ready!
There is no time to waste !
The Kingdom of God is at hand!
