19th Sunday of Ordinary Time

 The puzzle  Lk. 12:35-40

When is Jesus coming back?

Is it just some random roll of the dice.

Is Jesus going to wake up one day and say to Himself;

“I think I’ll surprise everyone and come back today!”

Or is there some sort of plan?

It is almost as if God were in Heaven with a giant jig saw puzzle

That He has laid out on the table of the universe. 

And like all jig saw puzzles ;

You begin with the edges first and work your way in. 

At first it is not clear what the picture is going to look like. 

God knows however because He has the cover of the box in front of Him. 

And piece by piece,

God is putting it all together  

The piece of light and  a piece of dark;

The piece of land and the piece of the sea. 

The piece of the birds and the animals 

And then the piece of Adam and Eve. 

It is all beginning to take shape. 

The piece of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob;

Mary and Joesph;

The question is how many pieces are there to the puzzle. 

And only when the last piece is in His hand 

And He puts it in place;

Then the Picture will be complete;

And Jesus will return. 

Each day, piece by piece ,

God slowly puts the puzzle of creation together. 

Each one of us is a piece in the puzzle. 

Our life is a puzzle of many pieces

Not yet complete. 

Not clear;

Not sure how many pieces there are;

Not sure what it is going to look like when it is all put together. 

As the puzzle of our life is put together through the years,

We must have Faith And Trust in God 

that in the end

All the pieces will fit;

And we and all of Creation will turn out just as He had planned.
