St. Jane de Chantal 1572-1641
Her mother died when she was 18 months old;
Her husband died after 7yrs of marriage
3 of her six children died in infancy;
Yet she founded the Visitation nuns in France
She once said,
“In Prayer, more is accomplished by listening than by talking.”
And another time she said,
“Must you continue to be your own cross? No matter which way God leads you, you change everything into bitterness by constantly brood over everything. For the love of God, replace all this self-scrutiny y with a pure and simple glance at God’s goodness.
