Unexpected Mercy. Lk. 6:27-38
Mercy is unexpected.
When someone hates you,
They expect to be hated in return;
When someone mistreats you,
They expect to be mistreated in return.
When someone slaps you on one cheek they expect you to slap them back.
When some swears at you they expect you to curse them back.
Not Jesus!
He loves His enemies;
He is kind those who mistreat Him,
He turns the other cheek;
He blesses those who curse Him.
Why?
Because He is merciful,
As His Heavenly Father is merciful.
