St. Dominic was born to a wealthy and noble family in Spain,
But left all of his wealth and fame behind,
So that he could follow Jesus more closely.
He was famous for his preaching which brought others to Christ and away from heresy.
And his preaching had great effect because of the way he lived his life.
A life of poverty and penance.
What are willing to give up to follow Jesus more closely,
So that our words;
Might Lead others closer to Christ,
In other words,
Do we practice what we preach;
As Dominic did.
