St. Hippolytus and St. Pontianus Pope
Hippolytus lived in the 3rd century and strongly disagreed with the Pope.
During the time of persecution Hippolytus was sent to the quarries in Sardinia.
There he met Pope Pontian who was also sent to the quarries.
And there he became reconciled with the Pope.
Hippolytus was a saint who not only disagreed with the Pope but was also reconciled with the Pope.
He is an example of how to NOT let disagreements keep one from being reconciled with those with whom one might also disagree.
