Wednesday 19th Week of Ordinary Time

 Feast of St. Maximilian Kolbe

Today is the feast of St. Maximilian.

And when he was a young boy he got into trouble and his mother asked him, "what is going to become of you?"

We all know what became of Maximilian.

He founded Cities of the Immaculate in Poland and Japan.

He gave up his life in Auschwitz

And  became the Patron Saint of our difficult century according to Pope John Paul II.

Today therefore is a good day for us to reflect on what will become of us.

Our Blessed Mother asks us as Maximilian's mother asked him,

"What will become of us?"

Through receiving the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass.

We can do great things.

We can become saints!

So in the words of St. Francis,

"While we have time, let us do good. "
